Unipolar corona charger
The C2000 Unipolar Corona Charger is a companion product to the Nano-ID PMC500 Particle Mobility Classifier, as well as a stand-alone laboratory accessory for particle size selection and behavioural studies. The unit replaces conventional low-level radioactive sources and all of the associated handling and safety requirements. When activated, particles are surrounded by a highly concentrated field of positively charged ions. Within a short period of time, particles reach charge equilibrium and are ready to classified prior to study or use.
Optimize Charging Efficiency
In addition to the obvious advantages over radioactive sources, the C2000 also provides technological advances vastly superior to other Corona Chargers on the market today. The system produces the optimal charge density needed for both small and large particles. By virtually eliminating multiple charging effects, especially for particles greater than 70 nm, the most accurate size distributions can be produced. The C2000 incorporates a novel design approach that minimizes the frequent cleaning required to maintain charge stability associated with other commercially available Corona Chargers.
