Powder Aerosolizer PA100

The PA100 Powder Aerosolizer uses vibrating jets to create high velocity air streams that separate individual particles from a powder sample. The jets produce micro-vortices that essentially lift the particles from the powder surface. After the aerosol is generated, it is passed through a 10 liter gravitational separator to filter any remaining large particles or agglomerates. The separator also serves to stabilize the concentration of the generated aerosol.

No special training is required to operate the PA100 and set-up takes only a few minutes. The material of interest is loaded into the sample holder and the jet nozzle is located above the material surface. The output aerosol concentration is easily controlled by adjusting the applied air pressure and the vertical position of the jet nozzle relative to the surface of the material. Particle Measuring Systems PMC500 Particle Mobility Classifier is a complimentary instrument that can be used downstream to produce a user-defined monodisperse size distribution.
